Hi, I’m Mark Dawson. I’m a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), with additional qualifications in Eye Movement Desensitation & Reprocessing (EMDR), Counselling and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I offer short and long term therapy to people of all age ranges, from 11 years upwards.

I’m a passionate therapist, working to understand a client’s lived experiences and ensuring the client’s values guide all therapy sessions.

We can explore personal values and experiences, and work towards realistic Therapy Goals using a constructive and collaborative approach.

CBT is an evidence-based therapy, recommended by the National Institute for Care Excellence as the most effective treatment for Anxiety and Mood Disorders. CBT explores the relationship between how we interpret our life situations, our thinking patterns and how we behave in relation to a situation or event. CBT is often described as an Active therapy, where we aim to take ownership of the changes we wish to make.

I am qualified and experienced working with complex and wide-ranging mental health presentations with clients across all age ranges.
